SUPPORTING THE CAUSE FOR OPTICAL PLEASURE.

Boughton Walden is a modern western artist based out of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Growing up in North Carolina, Boughton emerged herself in artistic culture after initially studying under her grandfather, a talented watercolorist. She realized she had a passion for visual art and pursued a further education at the University of Alabama. Here she majored in graphic design and focused in studio art, and was later featured in a number of exhibits at the university.  Her work was heavily influenced and inspired by the likes of Mike Mills, Andy Warhol, Chris Johansen, Sally Mann, Georgia O’Keefe, and Banksy. Not only in style, but use of mediums. She moved to Jackson Hole in 2008 and was introduced to a whole new range of life, one that she decided to capture through her artwork.  Her love for the wild animals of west was a huge inspiration for the work she has done in the past years.  She has hung her work in galleries in Jackson, Montana, Colorado, Alabama, and can now be seen in Toronto.  Boughton has been featured in quite a few shows around the Teton Valley area, most notably the “Best of Wyoming” exhibit, and hangs in hotels, restaurants, retail stores, and professional buildings in Jackson.  She still lives in Jackson Hole working as a full time artist.
